BACTREX is a dry, water-soluble powder containing a large number of beneficial soil and root microbes (including 6 strains of Bacillus spp.), Trichoderma fungi and actinomycetes. These have been specially selected for their positive effects on soil structure and fertility. These specialized root bacteria are "contained" in soluble yucca extract with organic catalysts to ensure rapid root zone propagation and growth.

In addition to beneficial soil bacteria, BACTREX also contains various potent strains of Trichoderma.

Trichoderma is a type of fungus that is harmful to certain other fungi, including fungi that cause disease in some plants.

For this reason, trichoderms should always be used as a "soil inoculum" immediately after sowing or planting, so that they drive out harmful fungi before they can cause disease. BACTREX contains 8 different bacteria, molds of the genus Trichoderma and humic acid.
