Frisian Dew, a cup winner that guarantees the highest quality

Frisian Dew won 2008 1st place at the Highlife Cup in the Netherlands. Recently, at the Homegrown Cup 2018, Frisian Dew took 3rd place in the 'Dutch Hash' category. She was an important part of the Outdoor Cup. She has been an important part of feminized seed selection for many years and still knows how to easily beat other new strains.

Frisian Dew's buds are fruity and fresh

Frisian Dew is a perfect hybrid cannabis plant with a fresh, fruity, floral taste and aroma. It can vary from fruity (forest berries) and slightly lemony to more piney and lavender. Some phenotypes smell a little more like earth, ammonia and herbs - a trait of their Skunk parents. Her terpene profile is unique and offers a pleasant smoking experience. A beautiful feminized outdoor strain that tastes good too!

Frisian Dew's buds are big and colourful

The Frisian Dew is widely known for its large yields. It goes without saying that the buds can get very big and fat. It is this perfect mix of indica and sativa genes that power the development and produce rich growth and heavy flowering. Most phenotypes also have a very favorable flower-to-leaf ratio.

Growing Frisian Dew outdoors offers the best yields

Frisian Dew is the bestseller from our Dutch outdoor selection of cannabis seeds. She was carefully crossed and selectively bred over many generations in Friesland, a province in the Netherlands. These genetics have more than proven themselves over the years. A classic feminized outdoor seed strain that certainly won't disappoint.

Frisian Dew has something called "hybrid power". It is the result of a cross between a Super Skunk female and a Purple Star male. Shiva has created a very vigorous plant that grows fast and blooms profusely. Her sativa genes ensure long flowers and the indica genes ensure compact buds. Together, this combination makes for extremely high yields.

The name Frisian Dew comes from the area where this variety was developed. Frisian is the literal translation of "Fries" into English - one of the northernmost regions of the Netherlands with its own language and strong cultural heritage.

This potent hybrid provides experienced smokers with a strong high that lasts for quite a while. Many outdoor growers find it to be the perfect high, nice for both day and night. Smoke a little more and the "couch-lock" will take over the initial high.

Frisian Dew seeds are stable, strong and easy to grow

Frisian Dew is the result of years of crossing/evolving Skunk and Purple genetics. This time consuming process eventually produced a very stable and potent feminized outdoor seed strain. Her genetics are known for high yields and high quality. In addition, she is very easy to grow. She doesn't need any special fertilization schedules and can handle almost any type of weather condition, whether it's cold and wet or hot and dry, Frisian Dew can handle it!

The majority of plants grow strong and tall. This strain is known for vigorous growth with large leaves and strong, sturdy stems that don't break easily. It's a lady you have to tame if you don't want her to grow into a giant bush.

Frisian Dew is a true classic among outdoor marijuana strains of legendary proportions

She is not suitable for indoor cultivation, but is perfect for outdoor and greenhouse cultivation. Under the right circumstances and with the right care, the plant can grow into a plant of epic proportions. Plants 3.5 m high and 3.5 m wide are no exception. In most cases the Frisian Dew is ready for harvest in October (Northern Hemisphere). In greenhouses it can sometimes be a few weeks earlier under the right circumstances. But keep in mind that it is during these last few weeks that most of the bud weight is produced by the plants. Harvesting too early can therefore lead to a lower yield.
Outdoors (and in greenhouses) she can reach a height of 3-4 m and is harvested in early/mid autumn.

The genetics used to grow Frisian Dew guarantee the following characteristics:

● Strong and vigorous growth both outside and in the greenhouse. Commercial production level when grown under optimal conditions

● A plant suitable for any weather, even in a cold and humid climate. She can provide tall plants with a good yield

● Large, sturdy branches full of clusters of light purple flowers with a favorable flower-to-leaf ratio and a fresh, fruity taste

Frisian Dew is the perfect feminized outdoor seed strain for both beginners and experts. Even as a beginner, it's easy to get big yields. In the hands of an expert, this strain can yield yields of several kilograms of dry cannabis flowers per plant. It is recommended to only grow this strain outdoors or in greenhouses.

Effect of the Frisian Dew

Frisian Dew has a strong hybrid effect that gives the user a powerful 'high' combined with a nice heavy 'body stone'. Just smoke a little and you'll feel an energetic, creative high. Smoke a little more and let your body relax completely after a long day. If you're a fan of an uplifting sativa high, we recommend harvesting her a little earlier, but if you're a fan of the narcotic indica high, we recommend harvesting her a little later. This ensures more amber trichomes and a stronger body effect.

The heyday of Frisian Dew

We recommend a minimum (pre-)growth phase of about 3-6 weeks. Outdoor plants are best started indoors with an 18/6 light schedule. This will ensure a stronger plant that has a better chance of surviving. Germinating a feminized cannabis seed outdoors or planting a young seedling a few days old outdoors carries all sorts of risks. When the plants are still small, they are less resistant to weather influences. In addition, they can be eaten very quickly by a small pest, insect or other animal. The bigger and healthier the plant is when planted outdoors, the greater the chance of a successful harvest.

Frisian Dew does best in a mild/temperate climate, but she will also do well in a very hot or humid climate. She is generally more resilient to inclement weather than most traditional cannabis strains.

The flowering time is around 8 weeks. It can be harvested in the Netherlands between the end of September and the end of October. In a greenhouse, she often flowers a little faster due to the better conditions.

The yield of Frisian Dew

Frisian Dew produces extremely high yields, it's not classified as an XXL strain for nothing. Plants that yield several kilograms of dried buds can be grown both outdoors and in greenhouses. Even for a novice it is possible to harvest a few hundred grams per plant.

Advice from our experts

Frisian Dew is a strong plant that tolerates almost anything, even responding well to LST, supercropping and pruning. 'Pinching' or 'fimming' are two other growing techniques that can be used multiple times during the vegetative phase to create a more 'bushy' plant structure. This will ultimately result in a shorter plant, but with plenty of side buds.

For the best and tastiest result, we recommend cultivating them fully organically. The taste is optimized with natural nutrients. Therefore, the plants with a good and healthy soil are less susceptible to diseases and fungi. Pay special attention to dead leaves in the middle and at the end of the bloom. Because of the heavy, thick buds, dead leaves can lead to top rot and fungus faster. You should prevent this at any time!
