The SkinnyHeat heating mats were specially developed for use in indoor grow tents.
The SkinnyHeat makes a valuable contribution to a good growing climate, especially in grow boxes that have been placed in a climatically suboptimal location (e.g. unheated floors, basement rooms).

The root and night temperatures are particularly important. While sufficient heat is usually generated by artificial lighting during the day, there is a risk at night that the
Temperature drops to a level where the plants almost stop their metabolic activities. The result is significantly slower growth and sometimes significant losses in yield. The same applies to a temperature that is too low in the root area, which often poses an unrecognized problem even to many an experienced hobby gardener.

Even if all other factors (such as amount of light, ventilation, watering, nutrient supply) are in the optimal range, neglecting the soil temperature can lead to a relatively poor growing result.

To prevent these problems, the heating mat is simply placed between the tent floor and the shelf and connected to a thermostat (not included). Ideally, the temperature sensor should be placed in the middle of the shelf or in a side drainage hole of a pot (in the growing medium).

Application tips & hints

• For precise and efficient use, we recommend using it only in conjunction with a thermostat
• Do not cut, fold or pierce the heating mat.
• Do not use the heating mat if the heating cable, the power cable or the plug is visibly damaged.
• Do not use the heating mat as a heating pad for people or animals.
• Do not cover the heating mat with heat-sensitive materials during operation
• Keep the heating mat away from children - not a toy!
• The sealing of the foil means that the heating mat is splash-proof, but NOT suitable for use under water (e.g. in an aquarium).
• This heating mat is not suitable for compensating for extreme temperature differences.
